March 17, 2021

wedding centerpieces

So the venue is booked, you’ve made your selection of the tables and chairs. But now comes the not-so-easy part—weeding through the endless options of wedding table centerpieces to curate your own original décor combo. Even if you’ve hired a wedding planner specifically to take care of said nitty-gritty organizational details, you’re not completely off the hook just yet. There are the oh-so-important matters of pegging your specific wedding vibe, vision, and budget. Only then tackling the décor department from there.
Whether round, square, rectangle or any other creative formation in between, every bare table present at your nuptials. No matter the finish needs some form of decoration to make it look truly wedding-worthy.

OUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE CELEBRITY WEDDINGS

March 11, 2021

From the most elaborate cakes and private island parties, to not one or two but three wedding gown changes, we reveal our most favorite celebrity couples to the date.

1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

The couple wed on May 24, 2014, in Florence, Italy. The 200-person ceremony was captured by “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” cameras and featured the bride wearing a Maison Margiela gown while the groom wore Givenchy.
Their wedding photos and the magnificent ivory flower wall backdrop made headlines all over the world. It has become the most-liked flick on Instagram in 2014.

2. Angelababy and Huang Xiao Ming

Twenty-six-year-old Chinese singer, actress, and model, Angelababy, one of Asia’s biggest stars and the so-called “Kim Kardashian of China” married leading actor Huang Xiaoming in 2015.
No expense was spared for her $31 million USD reception in Shanghai — every detail was meticulous and beyond extravagant, from the venue to the decorations to the dress. With over 2,000 guests, Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming’s wedding took place at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, which was decorated with thousands of roses, a holographic castle, and gold brocade detailing. Her cake, at ten feet tall, was in the shape of a castle and featured a golden carousel.

3. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello

Modern Family’ actress Sofia Vergara has married Magic Mike hunk Joe Manganiello in a lavish $3 million wedding in Florida – and she’s shared her private pictures with fans on Instagram.
The Colombian-born beauty wore a stunning, ivory lace-brocaded Zuhair Murad gown and her long chocolate locks were softly curled and swept to one side. Her decadent bouquet of orchids and Lorraine Schwartz earrings completed her stunning fairy-tale-inspired bridal look.
Sofia’s new husband Joe looked dapper in a black John Varvatos suit.
The opulent ceremony, which took place at the historic Breakers Palm Beach resort in Florida, featured a grandiose floral display by celebrity florist Jeff Leatham.

4.Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber

The wedding that launched a thousand beach brides, supermodel Cindy Crawford wed businessman Rande Gerber on May 29, 1998 in one of the most envious celebrity nuptials to date.
The couple said “I do” on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and in true A-list fashion, kept the wedding a complete secret. The day was the definition of a relaxed beach wedding with the bride opting to go barefoot down the aisle. Crawford wore a John Galliano mini lace dress (which was bought off-the-rack!), carried a casual bouquet of white flowers and rocked effortless beach waves.

5. Zhang Zilin and Neil Nie

Miss World 2007 Zhang Zilin’s wedding to Neil Nie took place on 12th July 2013 at Indigo Pearl Resort in Phuket.
Zilin and Neil’s wedding journey started with an early morning picturesque beachside wedding ceremony at Nai Yang Beach and National Park. Hosted by Julia Morley, Chairman of the Miss World Organization, 50 guests were invited to witness the exchange of vows whilst taking in the ocean views and white sand beach setting.

SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR WEDDING THEMES RIGHT NOW: GET SOME IDEAS FROM THE FLOWER WALL COMPANY

March 3, 2021

The Flower Wall Company has been providing you with the trendiest most luxurious floral backdrops since 2013. Being a sister company of Highlife Asia Weddings, we have been a part of the most beautiful and elaborate weddings of Shanghai and South East Asia! Take a look at our favorites and don’t forget to check out our new flower wall promotion coming in a couple of days! We want everyone to have their dream wedding featuring their dream flower wall at a dream price!

Picking out a wedding theme can be one of the hardest planning pieces that every couple is faced with. Do you want to go with romantic, or keep things fresh and modern?
We have made a list of the trendiest and the most popular wedding themes for you to get inspired! Look at these beautiful ideas and color schemes to choose from!

1. Boho Chic

Many people confuse a boho wedding theme with a rustic themed wedding. While these two do have certain elements in common and can even be combined, a boho wedding theme is more free-spirited, alternative and eclectic. It is cool and carefree, but still beautiful.
Flower tiaras, long flowing gowns, and barefoot processions are hallmarks of this style, and we love it! Think fringing, macramé, patterns and a wider color palette.

2. Vintage Elegance

Draw inspiration from decades past if you want to create a classy vintage wedding theme. Handwritten invitations, old suitcases, antique furniture, book stacks, cherished family heirlooms, and lace! Decorate with wildflowers, or fresh-from-the garden classic white or blush pink roses, peonies, hydrangeas, baby’s breath and Billy balls, dusty miller, along with cascading greenery to create a more romantic and timeless look.

3. Tropical Beach

The smell of the salt air, the sound of the tide, and the feel of fresh sea breeze on your cheeks as you exchange vows. Is there anything better than a wedding by the shore?
But you don’t necessarily need a beach locale to pull off a beautiful tropical-inspired wedding! You just need plenty of plants (like palm fronds and neon florals), laid-back décor, and a signature beachy cocktail. From big, bold flowers and bright colors to backyard luau barbecue and games, this original wedding theme is full of on-trend inspiration!

4. Rustic and Natural

A rural venue, like a chic and intimate barn, string lights, mason jars, twine, lace, and all wood everything contributes to the simple and homey vibe of this wedding theme. It calls for a really natural color palette with plenty of organic shapes and textures. Rustic-inspired weddings are all kinds of beautiful and can be incredibly romantic decorated with country flowers, grasses, and foliage.

5. Fairy tale Romance

Every bride deserves to feel like a princess on her wedding day. A clearing in the woods makes a heavenly spot for a wedding ceremony, with twinkling lights dripping from a tree to dazzle your guests. Set the scene with regal antique gold against classic ivory with florals and foliage providing all the color you need for your décor. Decorate with candles and lanterns, finishing with trailing ivy or vibrant green foliage for a pretty, old fashioned look.

6. Bold Classic Red

Stare-don’t-look red is possibly the boldest color you could choose for your wedding theme. Passionate and romantic at the same time, this is the hue of ardent love.
This bold color can tint every element of your wedding, from heart-shaped table decorations to a spectacular red velvet wedding cake and red rose bouquets for you and your bridesmaids.
Bold red hues and unique decor evidently makes the theme modern. A gorgeous red bouquet alongside a variety of blooms in red will have your guests head over heels.

7. Twilight Lavender Luxury

Talk about making hearts skip a beat! Think lavender! Whether your vows are to be exchanged inside or outdoors, lavender will complement the beauty and solemnity of the occasion. To show off the beauty of the flowers, you might decorate church pews or pillars in purple with sprigs of lavender as accents. Lavender would also be a terrific color for your party decorations, particularly if your post-ceremony celebration is to be held outside. Even your wedding cake could mirror the theme by being covered in lavender colored icing flowers. Make the most of this special time to let your unique taste shine through.

Orange and Black: the quintessential “trick or treat” color combination

October 19, 2020

Orange and black are so quintessentially Halloween and autumn in general, that the two colors combined any other time feels out of place.

Halloween florals
Orange’n’Black design by The Flower Wall Company

Isn’t it interesting how this color combination instantly takes our mind to this spooky holiday? Have you ever stopped to think why might that be?

Of course, we all have personal associations with colors: orange maybe reminds you of your favorite scarf or a sunset you’ve caught that one time during a vacation; black might be your favorite dress or shoes color… these are specific personal color associations all of us have. So what is it about orange and black that is so universal?

The color black is strong, and powerful.  It has traditionally represented evil, death, darkness, and the unknown- making it an obvious choice when it comes to a Halloween color.

Orange is lively, friendly, warm, and inviting! It has the best traits of it’s parents (red and yellow)– it’s energergetic, and happy.  It’s associated with celebrations, and stimulation.

Orange represents warmth and autumn, while black symbolizes cold and winter.  Life, and death. What a perfect combination- yin and yang.

We hope you like our classic Halloween creation this year!

Classic rich auburn and candy corn orange, tones of ginger and marigold contrasting against licorice black in this bewitching floral creation.
Roses, calla lilies, and eclipse black orchids make a gorgeous combination that will leave nobody unimpressed!
To add an extra ominous feeling to it miniature spiders, spiderwebs and bats are scattered all over the floral canvas! And a truly autumn Halloween design wouldn’t be complete without some pumpkins, firethorn, and auburn leaves. This design is absolutely stunning for the season!
